Our staff believe that all children are unique individuals who deserve to be respected regardless of their gender, cultural background, beliefs, attitudes or special needs. All persons attending our centre deserve equal and fair treatment, whether they are children, parents, guardians or staff. We are deeply committed to providing a warm, challenging and positive environment to encourage each child to develop to their fullest potential at their own pace, as well as gain independence, initiative and a positive self esteem.
Our individual program is based on our belief that children learn through play, concrete 'hands on experiences, demonstration and positive role modelling. Our activities are designed to provide a balance of structured and unstructured, quiet and noisy along with active and passive fun times, which empahsises the learning process, rather then the final product. Our programs recognise the needs of the whole child, and our planning is developed with the understanding that children are individuals. Through this program we aim to provide high quality care and learning according to each child's needs, abilities and stage of development.
These programs are characterised by activities and experiences that balance; stimulation, investigation, flexibility, newness, diversity, creativity, experimentation and discovery. They are offered within a reliable routine, familiarity, consistency, security and a warm caring atmosphere. We hope to develop safe, hygienic, nutritional and healthy habits for all our children, We believe our total learning environment Is consistent with our stated philosophy in its expectations, behaviour, interactions, recognition and its assignment of roles. routines and physical environment.
Our environment offers real choices and allows for the opportunity for all children to be heard and express their feelings, needs and wants. We provide opportunities to seek information and advice and believe that communication is vital to a successful early learning program. We aim to ensure that our community is aware of all aspects regarding our centre. Communication must develop knowledge and understanding of our service and its related issues, while still respecting the confidentiality of individuals. We are committed to offering the provision of parent involved, managed care, informed and assisted by early childhood professionals, management and other centre parents.
We strongly believe that each child's family is unique in its experiences, culture, customs and beliefs. Our staff are eager to build a strong partnership with parents on the on-going care, development, and education of their children. Staff and parents are encouraged to keep each other informed of the children's progress.
Staff work as a team, working together to support each other and ensure that the highest of care and pride is maintained within in the centre at all times.
